Do you want to work on the competitiveness of the food chain? The Unit for Agriculture and Food Business is looking for one or two employees to collaborate with other officials to develop and implement the government's policy within the unit's area of responsibility regarding the competitiveness of the food chain.

We are targeting those who are at the beginning of their careers, and your main tasks will involve assisting other officials in handling national and international issues, primarily within the EU, analyzing various factual circumstances, improvement proposals, and contributing to future policy and strategy development. Furthermore, the work involves preparing materials for the political leadership on various current issues.

The work requires close collaboration with both officials within the unit and the Government Offices as a whole. In your role, you will also have continuous contact with authorities and other relevant actors in the industry. The position may also involve travel within Sweden and abroad.

Your Background

We are looking for someone with a university degree in, for example, political science, EU studies, law, agronomy, or economics and relevant experience from work or internships at the Government Offices or a similar organization. You also need to have knowledge of the business conditions of the food chain.

Experience in policy work related to agriculture, food preparedness, or other parts of the food chain is an advantage, as is experience in external presentations and communication. It is beneficial if you have experience with EU issues and policy work in the area.

We are looking for someone with excellent collaboration skills and good language proficiency in Swedish and English. As a person, you are proactive, responsive, and quality-conscious. You have the ability to relate to complex processes and can prioritize and work independently. Since the work involves several parallel processes, you need to be able to switch between different tasks and subject areas.

Other Information

The position refers to one or two temporary employment contracts for up to one year. Start date by agreement. A security clearance will be conducted before a hiring decision is made.
